AMD today announced the Ryzen 7 9850X3D at CES 2026. This is a higher binned version of the company’s popular 9800X3D gaming CPU, and can hit higher clock speeds. This part has been rumored heavily in the past several weeks, and appeared in several leaks, including ones from Dell and AMD itself. The Ryzen 7 9850X3D features the same 8-core, 16-threads design as the 9800X3D, as well as the same 96MB L3 cache that makes these chips especially suited for gaming workloads.
