The unintentional symbolism, though, was extraordinary: on Thursday, the convention location itself had to be evacuated after a massive fire broke out. The event, hosted in Belém, Brazil at the threshold of the Amazon rainforest, was in its second to last day of proceedings when the flames prompted an evacuation, according to Heatmap. In a feat of cosmic irony, the “blue zone” — where only official delegates, journalists, and world leaders…
When I went to JBL’s European launch for its soundbars in Copenhagen earlier this year, one thing stuck out that I couldn’t stop thinking about. All of its soundbars should be have a modular design. You’re probably reading this thinking, “what is this person babbling on about?” but stick with me and I think that you might agree. We live in an immersive world… sort of What soundbar manufacturers often do is set their designs for pricing levels or for the audience they’re attempting to attract. That often means that the cheapest model loses all the frills and features of…
Detective shows are as prevalent as a sunrise in the modern era of television, and it’s easy to see why. General audiences are obsessed with the concept of crime, which is why chilling crime documentaries remain such a popular viewing choice on pretty much any streaming service you can think of. Naturally, lots of these detective shows are mainly about murder. After all, what could be a more compelling case to solve than the taking of someone’s life? I’ve been hooked on more than a few of these shows myself, particularly the more serialized murder mysteries that really build up…

TESLA FSD v14.2 is the smoothest, least hesitant, most confident version yet — a meaningful step toward unsupervised. It handles emergency vehicles well, hand gestures, it is smooth and does not have braking problems. It is judged good enough for unsupervised geofenced areas. FSD 14.2 is great The biggest remaining blockers for true door-to-door robotaxi appear to be: 1. Parking precision & close-quarters maneuvering (drive-thru, exact curb pull-up)2. Longer planning memory / context window (to avoid looping or repeating failed paths) The core driving quality already looks good enough for geofenced unsupervised operation in many cities. Reviewer says FSD 14.2…

In a sea of AI travel-planning apps, a new startup called Boop aims to redefine the space with a new approach: turning social recommendations into bookable itineraries. Instead of getting a random AI-generated travel plan, the app offers users access to itineraries from real people who went on real trips. When someone takes a trip, Boop uses AI to quickly turn their trip into an itinerary that others can copy and personalize, mainly by looking at location data and metadata from photos they share with the app. The idea is to build a network of shared itineraries that people can monetize, giving travel creators another way to…
Samsung’s last device in the Galaxy A7x line was the A73, which launched in 2022. After that, this part of the A series has been dead, but now it looks like the company is getting ready to revive it with the Galaxy A77. A prototype A77 has been spotted in the Geekbench online database, with 8GB of RAM, Android 16 on board, and a mystery chipset that’s related to Samsung’s Exynos 2400 and 2400e but based on the CPU clock configuration, is lower-end than both of those. This SoC has a CPU with three Prime cores clocked at up to…
