Legit Security has detailed a vulnerability in the GitHub Copilot Chat AI assistant that led to sensitive data leakage and full control over Copilot’s responses. Combining a Content Security Policy (CSP) bypass with remote prompt injection, Legit Security’s Omer Mayraz was able to leak AWS keys and zero-day bugs from private repositories, and influence the responses Copilot provided to other users. Copilot Chat is designed to provide code explanations and suggestions, and allows users to hide content from the rendered Markdown, using HTML comments. A hidden comment would still trigger the usual pull request notification to the repository owner, but…
Photo by Kevin Winter/TAS24/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management Taylor Swift, the queen mother of never taking a stance on anything that doesn’t directly impact her, has reversed course on AI — and her biggest fans are repulsed by that hypocrisy. In partnership with Google and as a part of promo for her twelfth studio album “The Life Of A Show Girl,” a multi-city scavenger hunt sent the pop star’s rabid fan base searching for orange doors with QR codes. Once scanned, clues were revealed; ultimately, it led to a lyric video for the song “The Fate of Ophelia.” The…
Motorola could launch a 6.3-inch smartphone, or ‘phablet,’ in the third quarter of 2014. The new super-sized Moto will apparently launch some time between July and September this year. This is the rumour being spread by a poster over on China’s Weibo forum, at least. While it might sound like a slightly tenuous source, the tipster has previously been right on the money with predictions concerning Motorola’s Moto X and Moto G smartphones. It’s also not the first time that rumours of a super-sized Motorola smartphone have circulated. Last year, it was claimed that Motorola was working on a 6.3-inch…
Many enterprises running PostgreSQL databases for their applications face the same expensive reality. When they need to analyze that operational data or feed it to AI models, they build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipelines to move it into analytical systems. Those pipelines require dedicated data engineering teams, break frequently and create delays measured in hours or days between when data is written to a database and when it becomes available for analytics. For companies with large numbers of PostgreSQL instances, this infrastructure tax is massive. More critically, it wasn't designed for a world where AI agents generate and deploy applications…
Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test. Rian Johnson, I owe you an apology. After trashing the first Knives Out movie and reluctantly warming up to Glass Onion (though that was mostly Kathryn Hahn’s doing), Wake Up Dead Man has knocked it out of the park, and might just be the best crime caper I’ve seen in the last few years. When I was 14, I was a huge fan of the legendary crime author Agatha Christie.…
AI startup Perplexity is crawling and scraping content from websites that have explicitly indicated they don’t want to be scraped, according to internet infrastructure provider Cloudflare. On Monday, Cloudflare published research saying it observed the AI startup ignore blocks and hide its crawling and scraping activities. The network infrastructure giant accused Perplexity of obscuring its identity when trying to scrape web pages “in an attempt to circumvent the website’s preferences,” Cloudflare’s researchers wrote. AI products like those offered by Perplexity rely on gobbling up large amounts of data from the internet, and AI startups have long scraped text, images, and…
Cybersecurity startup Realm.Security has announced raising $15 million in Series A funding, bringing the total raised by the company to $20 million. The investment round was led by Jump Capital, with additional support from seed investors Accomplice and Glasswing Ventures. Founded by industry veterans Jeff Kraemer, Peter Martin, and Sanket Choksey, the Boston, MA-based Realm emerged from stealth mode in September 2024 with an AI-powered platform that integrates and manages security information from various sources. The company’s Security Data Pipeline Platform (SDPP) embeds AI throughout the pipeline and applies real-time analysis and filtering to provide SOC teams with essential data…

The sell-off was due to disappointment over the new affordable Model 3 and Y not being as revolutionary or cheap as some hoped.
