Smart glasses are all the rage these days, and while Xiaomi’s latest offering is not the smartest option out there, it does offer a premium design and some generally useful features. The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses incorporate built-in speakers into the temples, which means you’re getting an open earbud experience built into the glasses. That’s paired with quad microphones for hands-free calls, and the ability to record calls and audio in your surroundings.
We got hold of the Titanium version, which retails for €199, though Xiaomi is also offering browline and pilot styles, with the latter offering UV400 protection. The traditional lenses on our unit block 25% of all incoming blue light, making them an ideal companion for long hours in front of a computer screen.
The Titanium model is also the lightest of the bunch, coming in at just over 34 grams including the lenses. That’s in part thanks to the 5mm slim temples, which are made out of plastic. The lenses can be switched out for prescriptions if you need to. The glasses are IP54-rated against dust and water splashes, which means they can handle moderate amounts of rain.

We can safely say that the Mijia Smart Glasses are comfortable to wear all day long but they do feel a tad heavier than a regular pair of glasses with prescription lenses. For controls, Xiaomi went with large touch sensors located at the midpoint of the temples. They are well spaced and register taps without any issue.
The retail package includes a nice faux leather spring top pouch, a cleaning cloth and an interesting charger. It connects to the two ends of the temples via magnets and then joins the two sides into a USB-C port, which can be plugged into any charger.

Xiaomi claims you can expect up to 13 hours of playback from the speakers, while a full recharge from 0 to 100% should take about an hour.
The build quality here is excellent, and we can definitely see how the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses can appeal to regular glasses wearers who also use wireless earbuds or headphones in their day-to-day. Having a two-in-one solution is great, and as a person who wears glasses for 8+ hours a day, it was refreshing not to have additional earphones or earbuds covering my ears.
In terms of sound quality, the built-in speakers don’t impress, and they don’t get very loud either. They are fine for casual use, though, and are good enough for calls as long as you are in a relatively quiet environment. They also feature a privacy mode, which claims to reduce sound leakage, though we cannot vouch for its effectiveness at higher volume levels.
Mijia Smart Audio Glasses pair to any device via Bluetooth 5.4 and support dual device pairing, like most modern wireless earbuds. In our brief time, we had no issues with connectivity, which remained solid when paired to an iPhone 17 Pro and MacBook Pro 14.
The glasses also come with wear detection sensors, which pause and resume media playback when you take them off and reinsert them.
Xiaomi has a dedicated Xiaomi Glasses app, which is used to control additional features. It’s a pretty barebones companion app that allows you to reassign the gesture controls, manage connected devices and recordings.

The glasses have a built-in recording feature, which can be toggled via a long-press on either side of the temples. You can also record calls and audio that’s played on the glasses. The glasses can also read incoming notifications aloud if you’re okay with granting those permissions to the Xiaomi Glasses app.
That’s pretty much all you get with the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses. They may not be the most feature-rich smart glasses on the market, but they offer excellent build quality, pleasing sound quality and some clever features like audio and call recording.
The addition of a camera would be a logical step up for their successors, and it will be interesting to see what Xiaomi has planned next for the high-stakes smart glasses market.
