Tecno has also revealed the phone’s design through the short teaser video you can see below. This reveals the fact that the handset has a small dot matrix display on the back, that’s integrated into the camera island. The inspiration from Nothing is pretty clear here – dot matrix display aside, there’s also the faux transparent look.

    Say hello to peak design.

Thanks to some of the engraving on the rear panel, we know that the Pova 8 5G has an 8,000 mAh battery, which is matches the Pova Curve 2‘s to be Tecno’s biggest yet. Like the Pova Curve 2, the Pova 8 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 SoC, according to a past Geekbench run. It will have 6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, and will run Android 16 from day one. According to its FCC certification, its battery will charge at up to 45W via wire.
