Who remembers Karbonn? The Indian brand is preparing a comeback in the smartphone space, having spent the last five years or so in a state of hibernation. But that will end soon.
There’s a teaser microsite up on Amazon India for the upcoming Karbonn Rebel 5G. Unfortunately, the page doesn’t reveal any specs right now, but it does say things like “status isn’t a specification”, “style that stands out”, “all of the phone, none of the price shock”, and “don’t follow, just rebel”.
The company says the Rebel 5G is “built for people who choose for themselves”, “see past the hype”, and “value substance as much as style”. The phone will deliver “a smarter upgrade, without the pressure to prove it”, since “what matters is what your phone does – not what it signals”.
Those are interesting words for sure. Let’s see if the Rebel 5G can deliver on all of these promises. Are you excited to see Karbonn back in the smartphone game? Let us know in the comments, while we wait for the company to start teasing the Rebel 5G’s actual specs.
