Apple will launch its first touchscreen OLED MacBook on October 28. The company sent out the official invite with the tagline “Pro and tell”, and it works nicely with what the reports have said all along – expect the new OLED-clad, touch-enabled MacBook Pros, and possibly an updated iMac and an OLED iPad mini.

The iQOO Neo12 is launching in China on October 28, and the company revealed its design and three color options – Fierce Edge, Shadow Black, and Frost Blade Blue. The phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a dedicated Q3 gaming chip, and a 185Hz AMOLED. Also on the cards is a 9,000mAh battery.

The iPhone Duo began shipping this week, and we now know its battery capacity, which is 4,883mAh.

The Oppo Find X10 and X10 Pro Max are now global. The Find starts at €1,300/£1,100, while the Find X10 Pro Max costs €1,800/£1,500. The Find X10 Pro Max features the new 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, and an impressive triple 200MP camera setup. The regular Find X10 gets the Dimensity 9600M and two 200MP cameras. Interestingly, both phones ship with smaller 7,150mAh batteries in Europe, compared to the 8,000mAh units available in China and other markets.

Apple now sells replacement parts and repair tools for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max through its Self Service Repair Store. Replacement displays cost $329 for the Pro and $379 for the Pro Max, while batteries are priced at $129, or around $67 after returning the old battery. The new variable-aperture camera costs $249, or about $189 after the return credit.

vivo Y600 to debut next week with a 10,000mAh battery

It is rumored to use a Dimensity 7300e chipset.

India’s smartphone market suffered its worst third quarter since 2016, with shipments falling 26% year-on-year to 35.8 million units, according to Omdia. Samsung reclaimed the top spot with 6.7 million shipments and a 19% market share, followed by vivo with 6.4 million, Oppo with 4.9 million, Xiaomi with 4.7 million, and Apple with 3.9 million. Rising prices and cautious consumer spending were the main reasons behind the decline.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi K100 is launching in China on October 28 with a massive 10,000mAh battery, 100W charging, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 6.83-inch AMOLED display. Samsung also reportedly signed major five-year memory supply contracts, with 70% of its DRAM production and all of its HBM output for 2027 already reserved. The resulting memory shortage is expected to push prices higher, potentially making upcoming smartphones, including the Galaxy S27 series, more expensive.

India smartphone shipments drop 26% in Q3 to the lowest level since 2016

Samsung is back on top while vivo took the biggest hit.
