Bad people violating the terms of service for commercial passenger planes. Mixing civilian and military uses is not good. IF SpaceX civilian products were used for military offensive purposes then Starlink would become high priority targets for other militaries.
Leaked documents from a joint forum and reports from investigative outlets indicate a three-stage approach to counter Starlink, which has played a critical role in military communications and drone operations in Ukraine.
Level 1: Legal and Diplomatic Pressure – Building international coalitions to lobby for regulatory limits, orbital constraints, and congestion rules against the massive satellite network.
Level 2: Obstruction and Jamming – Jointly filing for frequency bands and orbital slots, alongside deploying electromagnetic-jamming architectures (such as ground-based microwave systems and Russian “Volna Kupol Garant” jammers) to block or blind Starlink receivers in specific regions.
Level 3: Physical Destruction – Developing methods to disable or destroy satellites directly, including cyberattacks (malware, spoofing, and terminal exploitation), kinetic or low-cost projectiles, and orbital shrapnel clouds designed to shred solar panels or puncture spacecraft.
