The iQOO 15 was announced in China yesterday, and it’s expected to make it to global markets next month. But, interestingly, the brand is working on another device that will be part of the series.

We’re calling this iQOO 15 Ultra for simplicity’s sake, but the name hasn’t been confirmed. It will have a suffix, though, that much is clear, so we assume it’s between Pro and Ultra. The existence of this device in development has been confirmed by Luo Feng, iQOO VP of Products.

iQOO 15 Ultra is coming with a focus on gaming and productivity

The iQOO 15 Ultra will be higher-end than the 15, and will be designed as a “gaming productivity tool”. Thus, it will be the most powerful iQOO in history. If you’re confused by the brand combining gaming with productivity, so are we – but for the latter all you need is a great big screen, and that’s also a given if the focus is on gaming.

Speaking of which, the device is expected to have dedicated gaming triggers as well as an active cooling system and IP68 dust and water resistance. It will get a QHD+ screen, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a periscope telephoto camera, and wireless charging support. All of those are also features of the iQOO 15, so the Ultra’s main claim to fame will probably be its gaming focus.

It’s unfortunately unclear when it will arrive, but it doesn’t sound like it will be anytime soon. We’ll let you know when we find out more.
