2025 is almost done, as we recap the penultimate week of the year! Xiaomi’s entire Redmi Note 15 series launched globally. The OnePlus 15R was also officially unveiled with full details. It packs a mammoth 7,400mAh battery (though it’s smaller than the Ace 6T’s absolute unit of an 8,300mAh battery), and 80W charging. It has a 6.83-icnh AMOLED with a FHD+ resolution and a 165Hz variable refresh rate. The phone packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone comes in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze, and starts at $699/€699/£649 for a 12/256GB trim.

A report surfaced that warns of a memory chip crisis that will see the return of 4GB of RAM phones and the total extinction of 16GB of RAM flagships. Samsung will reportedly bump its midrange phone prices in India as a result of the shortage. We hope the report is exaggerating its prognosis.

Honor detailed its upcoming Win and Win RT smartphones. The phones will be unveiled on December 26. Both feature an in-built fan for cooling. The top-of-the-line Win model will pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED with a 165Hz refresh rate. The Win RT could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. One or both models will have a 10,000mAh battery!
