Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE: One minute reviewThe Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE is a complete cycling setup comprising a Zwift Ride smart frame and a Wahoo KICKR CORE trainer. The combined unit is an easy-to-set-up solution for indoor training that doesn’t require mounting a traditional outdoor bike. It’s a single tine at the front instead of a bike’s usual fork and a rear wheel, designed to lock straight…
In the past, I’ve sat down to watch something on Plex, only to be met with endless buffering — and it turns out I’m not alone. A quick check on Reddit revealed scores of posts dating back years seeking help with this very issue. It’s especially annoying, as streaming apps are supposed to “just work” straight out of the box with minimal tweaking, regardless of the device or network conditions (although a few handy setup tips never hurt). However, as I found out, this lies at the root of the problem. It turns out that, by default, my Plex server…
When the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra was launched in late February, it was the first time in years that I felt excited for a new flagship launch, thanks to rumors of innovations like the Privacy Display in the lead up to the big reveal. On seeing the new phone in person, even the Super Steady Horizontal Lock feature for shooting videos seemed like a fabulous idea.As a recent iPhone convert from only a year ago, I honestly thought the S26 Ultra would lure me back to Android, especially since my iPhone 16 Pro Max is a generation behind.First impressions of…
NASA has awarded Intuitive Machines of Houston, $180.4 million to deliver NASA-funded science and technology to the lunar surface as part of the agency’s CLPS (Commercial Lunar Payload Services) initiative and Artemis program. This lunar delivery, which includes seven payloads — five of them NASA’s — is expected to increase understanding of the chemical composition and structure of regolith, as well as the radiation environment in and around the South Pole region. This science will continue to build a sustainable human presence by future Artemis missions. “NASA continues to progress lunar science and exploration by enabling commercial lunar landings,” said…
I’ve had access to Alexa+ for a few days now, so not enough for a full review, but enough time to start getting a sense of what the new smart assistant is capable of. While I sort out the final review, here’s what I’ve learned so far. Gone is Alexa Speak, replaced by the ability to phrase questions and requests more naturally, putting words in the order I see fit. Alexa+ generally picks up the right context and remembers enough that it’s easy to add follow-up questions. If Alexa+ doesn’t understand, I can just rephrase the question or add a…
The Nebula P1i keeps things simple on paper, but its unique, flippable speaker design is genuinely impactful. Between the adjustable audio, built-in Google TV, and quick setup, the device ends up being a more practical pick than its spec sheet might suggest. You’ll need to keep the lights down and a power outlet nearby, but for casual nighttime screenings, it’s a compelling budget pick.I’ve tested enough portable projectors to know what I’m getting into. The package usually includes a solid 1080p image, built-in Google TV, and integrated speakers. This spec roundup applies to the budget-friendly Soundcore Nebula P1i ($295 at…
The prospect of a sustained human presence beyond Earth orbit is rapidly shifting from science fiction to a near-term reality. NASA has announced an ambitious plan to build a permanent lunar base while also preparing to launch a Mars mission featuring the first interplanetary spacecraft to use nuclear propulsion.Ever since his first term, returning humans to the moon has been a priority of President Donald Trump. And with NASA’s Artemis 2 mission—the first manned lunar mission in over 50 years—edging closer to the launchpad, that goal is looking more realistic. This week, at a high-profile event called Ignition, NASA Administrator Jared…
A new wave of Android flagships is on the horizon, and they’re not playing it safe. The biggest shift is that these phones are going all-in on cameras, while eclipsing the apex Android predators (read: Samsung and Google) in a few other ways, too. Weibo The specifications of the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra were revealed on Weibo, and the device is confirmed to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor (likely 1/1.4-inch class), paired with a large 1-inch-type primary sensor and an upgraded ultra-wide lens, along with advanced zoom systems and improved color science. That’s pushing smartphone photography closer to dedicated…
Your Windows PC might be doing something you didn’t expect. While you’re browsing, working, or gaming, it is quietly sending pieces of update files to other computers around the world. It sounds strange at first, but it’s not due to any bug or malware. It’s Windows’ Delivery Optimization feature. Delivery Optimization is meant to make updates faster and smoother for everyone. But the idea of using your internet to send updates to strangers can feel a bit off. Plus, there are also a couple of other downsides that make it worth a second look. What Delivery Optimization actually does Inside…
I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of Amazon’s Fire TV platform. While it certainly gets the job done, it’s only recently that the company decided to tackle long-standing complaints about its interface and performance, and the jury is still out on the second point, given that slowdowns tend to be long-term. Amazon also prefers to put its own content front and center, as you’re probably aware. There are reasons to choose a Fire TV device though, such as their low cost, and Alexa integration for smart homes. If you’ve just got one, there are a few settings…
