Lenovo has introduced two new tablets – one is ready to hit the road, the other will feel more at home at the office.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is the company’s first rugged Android tablet. It is IP68-certified and MIL-STD-810H tested. Importantly, it supports Batteryless Mode, so it can stay all day on a dock or be used as a kiosk. When running on battery, the X11 has 10,200mAh in its tank.

The tablet supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, as well as dual USB-C ports. There is a front-mounted NFC receiver too, which can simplify payments.

The tablet has a 10.95” display and a stylus that sheathes into the top side. The display is a 2,560 x 1,600px panel with 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness.

The ThinkTab X11 is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Coincidentally, this is the same chipset that is used in Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 will be available in Europe, Middle East and Africa starting in April. The tablet will sell for €500.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is also a workhorse, but again one that is better-suited for office and classroom environments. It has a 13” LCD with 16:10 aspect ratio (3,540 x 2,190px). The panel runs at 144Hz and offers 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Normally, it outputs 600 nits of brightness but can reach 800 nits in high brightness mode.

The display is surrounded by four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage (there’s a microSD slot for more). It has a 10,200mAh battery with 45W charging support. The tablet comes with Android 16 out of the box and Lenovo is only promising 2 OS updates, plus 4 years of security patches.

The previous Idea Tab Pro used the Dimensity 8300 chipset and had a smaller 12.7” 144Hz LCD. That one came out with Android 14 and is also on track for only 2 upgrades (i.e. it will end on Android 16).

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is coming later this month at a price of €550. It supports the Lenovo 2-in-1 Keyboard Pack, which is sold separately, but a Folio Case and Pen stylus are included for free.
