While vivo has yet to announce a launch date, it has revealed new details about the X Fold6. The foldable will feature an 8.02-inch inner display built using Samsung’s M14 luminous material.

According to vivo, the panel can reach a peak brightness of 5,000 nits while also supporting a 1-nit ultra-low brightness mode. It has also received TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification.

Moving on to the cameras, the vivo X Fold6 is confirmed to feature a 200MP primary rear camera, a big upgrade over the 50MP main sensor on the X Fold5. The camera uses Samsung’s 1/1.4-inch HPB sensor, features an f/1.68 aperture, and supports CIPA 4.5-level image stabilization.

The foldable will also come with a Zeiss APO-certified periscope telephoto camera powered by Sony’s LYT-602 sensor, which also supports CIPA 4.5-level image stabilization. vivo also shared a bunch of camera samples shot from the X Fold6.

Additionally, the X Fold6 will be compatible with the vivo Zeiss 200mm Teleconverter G2, which debuted alongside the vivo X300 Ultra. The camera system will be powered by vivo’s V3+ imaging chip and will offer a range of AI-powered photography features.

The vivo X Fold6 is expected to debut later this month in China. It will be available in a new ‘Blue Hole’ color option, which the company has teased officially. The same variant had also appeared in the wild recently.

The foldable is also confirmed to run OriginOS 6 Fold with several new multi-tasking and AI features. It is rumored to come with a 6,900mAh battery.
