Google’s new seemingly premium lineup of notebooks called Googlebook will kick off pre-orders on September 21. However, we still haven’t seen anything official from Google’s hardware partners, so the renders of the Asus Googlebook obtained by The Mac Observer give us a really good look at what to expect in a few days.

The Asus Googlebook comes in a very familiar form factor, but features a distinctive “G” key along with an RGB light bar on the lid. And from what we’ve seen so far, these two design traits will be present across all Googlebooks.

Additionally, the images suggest a large touchpad and a convenient keyboard, but more importantly – a decent set of connectivity options. The side view reveals at least two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports along with a 3.5mm audio jack.
By the looks of these renders, this particular Asus Googlebook model will rely on an active cooling system, which is rather unexpected. We could see different configurations with and without an active cooling solution, but this one might be tailored toward more demanding workloads.
