As rumored already, Apple has picked Google’s Gemini to power its upcoming revamped Siri. This is a multi-year partnership which “will lean on Google’s Gemini models and cloud technology for future Apple foundational models”, according to a statement obtained by CNBC.

Apple officially chooses Google's Gemini to power its revamped AI-powered Siri

    Here’s what Apple says:

After careful evaluation, we determined that Google’s technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation Models and we’re excited about the innovative new experiences it will unlock for our users.

The news sent up shares of both Apple and Google. The AI-powered Siri was delayed time and time again. Last March, Apple acknowledged one delay, promising the new Siri would be out “in the coming year”, which will be over in about two months. Unfortunately, Apple hasn’t shared any official information about the rollout’s timeline so far.
