TL;DR Gemini 3.5 Pro is reportedly months behind schedule as Google works to improve the model. Bloomberg says the delay has frustrated employees, with some worried Anthropic and OpenAI are pulling ahead. Coding performance appears to be a major problem, despite Google recently updating the model’s training data. Google will certainly feel that it belongs at the front of the AI race with the other big hitters, but its next big Gemini model is said to be struggling to get over the line. Gemini 3.5 Pro is reportedly months behind schedule as Google works to bring it up to its…
The AI compute gap: Enterprises are buying infrastructure faster than they can measure what it costs
Across 107 enterprises, AI infrastructure spending is accelerating well ahead of the ability to see or steer its economics. Most organizations run their AI on a familiar base of hyperscalers and model-provider APIs, yet the next dollar is aimed at specialized compute almost none of them use today; a majority intend to switch or add providers within the year, many within a quarter. Buying decisions turn on integration and total cost of ownership rather than headline token price — which is fortunate, because most enterprises cannot yet see their unit economics clearly: GPUs sit at half utilization or less, and…
I’m here today to write about one particularly thorny area of operational technology (OT) and security that I run into somewhat routinely. Given my own particular interests as an incorrigible vulnerability-gazer, and my professional role as vice president of security research at runZero, I deal with OT security issues more often than the average bear. I’ve noticed that there’s definitely a vibe of, “IT be like this, but OT be like that” going on in the wider world of vulnerability management. The process of discovering, documenting, and disclosing vulnerabilities all have their own little quirks here in OT-land, so let’s…

TobenONE UDS060: 30-second reviewMost budget docking stations look and behave almost identically. A handful of USB ports, an HDMI output, and maybe Ethernet if you are lucky. The TobenONE UDS060 tries something different. Alongside the usual 11-in-1 connectivity, it adds four physical shortcut keys and a rotary volume knob, both of which can be reprogrammed through a companion app.On paper, that combination of practical connectivity and genuine customisation is…
Remote Desktop is an essential tool for remote administration and virtual desktop access, but the default session limits in Windows often surprise users. Depending on your edition, you might be restricted to a single active user session (Windows 11/10) or only two concurrent administrative connections (Windows Server). This post walks you through different methods for […] This article How to enable multi-session for Remote Desktop first appeared on TheWindowsClub.com.
It’s an open secret that modern optical disc formats like Blu-ray and its 4K UHD successor provide better picture quality than contemporary streaming services. Streamers may be convenient, but they employ heavy-handed use of compression techniques to keep internet bandwidth in check and to reduce network congestion. Local disc playback doesn’t suffer from this drawback. It provides a consistent picture quality baseline that isn’t impacted by internet connection stability, nor does it require ponying up for a higher-tier subscription package in order to benefit from higher resolutions, improved bit-rates, and other niceties. Of course, even if you’re fully invested in…
Two members of the Scattered Spider cybercrime group have been sentenced to jail in the United Kingdom, the country’s National Crime Agency (NCA) announced on Thursday. Thalha Jubair, 20, and Owen Flowers, 18, were charged over their role in a 2024 cyberattack targeting Transport for London (TfL), which caused significant disruptions and generated costs of £29 million ($39 million). Jubair and Flowers were arrested in September 2025. They initially pleaded not guilty but changed their pleas to guilty when their trial started in June. On Thursday, they were each sentenced to five years and six months in prison following what…
After a slow start to Canada’s 2026 fire season, activity picked up by the end of June amid dry, warm conditions and returned closer to the 25-year average. By mid-July, almost 850 fires were actively burning across the country, according to the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre. More than 180 of those were burning in Ontario. This NOAA-21 image, acquired on the afternoon of July 14, 2026, shows smoke billowing from the Ontario fires. Winds carried the smoke primarily southeast over much of the southern part of the province, as well as parts of Quebec and the U.S. Midwest and Northeast,…
