A quiet revolution is reshaping enterprise data engineering. Python developers are building production data pipelines in minutes using tools that would have required entire specialized teams just months ago.The catalyst is dlt, an open-source Python library that automates complex data engineering tasks. The tool has reached 3 million monthly downloads and powers data workflows for over 5,000 companies across regulated industries including finance, healthcare and manufacturing. That technology is getting another solid vote of confidence today as dltHub, the Berlin-based company behind the open-source dlt library, is raising $8 million in seed funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners. What makes this…
Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold smartphone was showcased in late October, but it’s still not properly official. We might not have very long to wait, however, as it’s now apparently been spotted in the Bluetooth SIG’s certification database. Interestingly, multiple model numbers were certified – SM-D6390, SM-D639N, SM-D639U, SM-D639U1, and SM-D639B. The fact that we have all these model numbers implies rather wide geographical availability, including in North America, China, and Korea. The model ending in “B” is generally Samsung’s global version of a device, but of course that doesn’t really tell us exactly how many countries it will launch in, and…

Since it was first spotted in early July, scientists have been fascinated by 3I/ATLAS — the third object in history to have been spotted cruising through our solar system from interstellar space. The visitor, which is generally suspected to be a comet, has been racing through our star system at a blistering velocity, reaching its closest point to the Sun on October 29. During that close approach, scientists were surprised to note that 3I/ATLAS brightened much faster than they anticipated. Comets commonly form a tail of gas and dust as they approach the Sun, as its radiation causes solid ice…
Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test. Two-minute reviewThe Lomography Lomourette is a compact half-frame camera built for the fun of film photography. Lightweight, inexpensive and simple, it strips the analog shooting experience down to its creative essentials. With a fixed f/8 plastic lens, manual focus dial and two-position shutter speed lever, it’s all about finding the joy and beauty in imperfection. In the hand, it feels every bit a toy camera. The build borders on cheap…
I’ve made no secret of my love for Google Maps over the years, as it has been a regular source of inspiration and provided reliable support on my many adventures. Whether it’s finding a decent restaurant or rerouting me through traffic hotspots, it’s been a constant companion that simply could not be beat—or so I thought. Having recently tried and been impressed by the privacy-focused Magic Earth, another platform called Sygic came on my radar, and it’s unlike any other digital mapping service. After using the app for a couple of long road trips and in city traffic, I am…
TL;DR Multiple users report receiving frequent, seemingly false high-stress warnings on their Galaxy Watch since installing the new One UI 8 Watch update. The cause could be an alteration in the algorithm or thresholds used to detect stress via heart rate monitoring. Samsung has released a stable version of One UI 8 Watch, based on Wear OS 6, for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024). This platform update is significant, as it introduces new features, including the Now Bar and revamped watch tiles, to existing smartwatch users. However, the update might have also caused some extra stress…
OpenAI is entering the browser world with the launch of ChatGPT Atlas, an AI-enabled browser. Atlas, now available globally, can be accessed through Apple’s macOS, with support for Windows, iOS and Android coming soon. The announcement comes several months after rumors in July that OpenAI would release a web browser that would challenge the dominance of Google’s Chrome. In a livestream, CEO Sam Altman said he hopes Atlas will help bring about a new way of interacting with and using the web, one where people chat with the browser rather than typing a URL. “We think AI represents a rare once-in-a-decade opportunity to…
SpaceX officially detailed progress on the Starship HLS for NASA’s Artemis 3 mission and had a new faster, safer and simpler plan for returning astronauts to the Moon. This responds to the push from NASA and the President for faster lunar landings. SpaceX has completed 49 milestones under the fixed-price Human Landing System (HLS) contract. They have 2026 tests for long-duration flights and in-space propellant transfer. Since the contract was awarded, SpaceX has consistently been responsive to NASA as requirements for Artemis III have changed and have shared ideas on how to simplify the mission to align with national priorities.…
