Herd Security today announced raising $3 million in a funding round led by Aspiron Ventures, with additional support from ForwardSlash VC, Forum Ventures, Rightside Capital, Team Ignite, and YPO. Founded in 2025, San Francisco-based Herd has built an agentic AI platform that provides continuous security training and simulation. Home » Artificial intelligence » Tesla Now Has At Least 38 Unsupervised Robotaxi Tesla now has at least 38 unsupervised robotaxi. Austin is up to 27 unsupervised, which is over half of the 53 robotaxi. The count from robotaxitracker is likely only 70% or less of the actual based upon how many Waymo vehicles have been confirmed out of 200 expected vehicles. Tesla FSD 14.3.2 is rolling out wide. Most people who use AI daily, including me, have already found their preferences. I use a paid Claude subscription to help with my editorial chores (headline brainstorming, fine-tuning the tone, etc.), while Gemini is my go-to AI model for image generation and background research, especially when I want to go deep on a topic. Maybe you use Perplexity for search or ChatGPT for code, and that’s absolutely fine, as it only boosts your productivity and gets you the right information faster. The problem is, the operating system on your phone or laptop isn’t aware of your choice, and until now,…

Autonomous offensive security firm XBOW on Wednesday announced raising $35 million in an extension of the Series C funding round announced earlier this year. The initial Series C, in which it raised $120 million, increased the company’s valuation to more than $1 billion. The latest investment brings the total raised by XBOW to more than $270 million. The new funding came from Accenture Ventures, DNX Ventures, Liberty Global Tech Ventures, NVentures, Samsung Ventures, and SentinelOne S Ventures. The money will be used to further accelerate go-to-market and international growth efforts. XBOW has developed a platform that leverages AI reasoning and…
As NASA looks to explore the Moon, Mars, and beyond, researchers must develop materials capable of withstanding the extreme temperatures found in space and on other planets and their moons. In frigid conditions, rubber can shatter like glass, circuit boards may fail, and electrical connections can freeze and fracture. Gaining a deeper understanding of how materials respond to these temperature extremes is critical — especially as NASA looks to build its Moon Base at the lunar South Pole, where surface temperatures swing dramatically from blistering heat during the day to bitter cold at night. Researchers developed a ground-breaking method for…

Webcam access is one of the primary worries when it comes to secret, silent malware. The idea that someone is switching your webcam on without you knowing and peering into your life is deeply unsettling — especially if you have your laptop in the bedroom, around your kids, and so on. But it’s not always about malware. Sometimes, apps you’re not expecting may also access your webcam without you realizing. While most apps make it clear that webcam access is required, some less scrupulous apps may not. Thankfully, your webcam keeps a record of every app that’s accessed it. On…
According to a new report from Korea, Samsung’s successor to the Galaxy Ring is coming next year. The Galaxy Ring launched back in 2024, so this means it will have almost three years on the market before it’s replaced – a rarity these days in the tech world, where every product seems to be on a yearly refresh cycle or, in some cases, maybe a two-year cycle. The report in question says the Ring 2 is coming early next year, so it may be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S27 family. For the Galaxy Ring 2, Samsung is allegedly focusing on…
Government, scientific, manufacturing, and retail organizations have been targeted with a sophisticated backdoor in an ongoing supply chain attack involving the Daemon Tools disk imaging software, Kaspersky reports. As part of the attack, Chinese-speaking attackers apparently injected malicious code into multiple Daemon Tools iterations that have been available for download via the software’s legitimate website. Daemon Tools versions 12.5.0.2421 to 12.5.0.2434, released since April 8, have been found to contain injected code, and the attack remains active, Kaspersky says. AVB Disc Soft, the company behind Daemon Tools, has been notified. As part of the supply chain attack, the threat actors…
