Cisco on Monday announced its intent to acquire Astrix Security, a startup focused on securing non-human identities (NHIs) such as API keys, service accounts, and OAuth tokens increasingly used by applications and AI agents. In a blog post, Cisco said the acquisition is aimed at extending zero trust principles to the emerging “agentic workforce,” where AI agents and machine identities are rapidly expanding the enterprise attack surface. Astrix’s technology is designed to help organizations discover, govern, and secure these identities, including detecting excessive privileges and real-time threats. Astrix provides visibility into non-human identities and the activity of AI-driven agents, along with lifecycle…

A study of NASA’s TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) data on stellar pairs undergoing mutual eclipses has uncovered more than two dozen candidate exoplanets, or worlds beyond our solar system. This method allows the mission to locate planets it couldn’t otherwise detect. To date, TESS has discovered 885 confirmed exoplanets and identified more than 7,900 candidates, nearly all found because the planets pass in front of their stars from our perspective. These events, called transits, produce a small, regular dip in the brightness of the planet’s host star. TESS also observes tens of thousands of eclipsing binary stars — two…

Claude Code is a really good tool. If you have been using it, you already know that, especially when you pair it with something like Obsidian for managing context and notes, it becomes a pretty serious part of any workflow. But the number one complaint I keep seeing is the same every time. Claude Code is locked behind Claude’s Pro or Max plan, and at $20 a month, that is not exactly pocket change for a subscription you might only be dipping into occasionally. But there is a way to use Claude Code for free! Related I finally caught up…

Evan Blass has been the source of countless leaks on our and many other…
