Apple is reportedly short on DRAM just weeks away from its iPhone 18 unveiling, and scrambling to find more stock. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Apple reportedly turned to Chinese RAM manufacturer CXMT for the additional stock. First, Apple had to ask the Federal Government for permission to buy DRAM from CXMT, as it’s a US-blacklisted company. CXMT sells memory to Xiaomi, along with other Chinese companies, but US companies need an explicit permission to do business with it. Nintendo had a strong quarter – for the three-month period spanning April to June, the company saw operating profit skyrocket with a 150% increase. It went from JPY 56.9 billion for the same period last year to JPY 142.5 billion (this converts to around $902 million). Connor Riley Moucka has pleaded guilty over his role in a cybercrime campaign that involved hacking into the Snowflake accounts of 165 organizations. The 26-year-old has pleaded guilty to computer fraud, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, and a related conspiracy, and faces more than 30 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for October 27.  The man was arrested in late 2024 in Canada and was extradited to the United States in July 2025.
