Data security company Cyera has received an additional $400 million in funding, bringing the company’s valuation to more than $12 billion.
The new investment came from Goldman Sachs Alternatives as an extension of the Series G funding round announced in June. The company has raised a total of more than $2.7 billion.
The latest funding will be used to continue enhancing the Cyera platform’s capabilities and fuel the company’s expansion and growth.
Cyera provides an agentless, API-driven data security platform designed to deliver real-time visibility and context-aware governance over sensitive information across hybrid cloud, SaaS, database, and on-premises environments.
The platform continuously scans structured and unstructured data stores to build a unified inventory, leveraging ML to classify data by business context and compliance requirements.
Cyera unifies Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and identity access governance. By continuously correlating data sensitivity with user identity permissions, it can discover security misconfigurations, over-permissioned access, and high-risk sharing.
The platform also provides guardrails for AI operations, monitoring data inputs to LLMs, inspecting training datasets, and mitigating exfiltration risks across automated AI workflows.
“Cyera was the first to bring data and identity together, and as [AI] agents multiply faster than anyone can track, the gap between what they’re trusted to do and what they can actually reach is becoming increasingly dangerous. Cyera’s technology, customer traction, and execution position it to become the platform enterprises rely on to secure AI,” said Irit Kahan, managing director within Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives.
In late July, Cyera announced the acquisition of agentic access management provider Oasis Security in a $1 billion deal.
Cyera says it has over 1,500 employees and claims its solutions are used by 20% of Fortune 500 companies.
