The iQOO Neo11 came out in October of last year, so it’s pretty much time for its successor to show up any day now. According to a new rumor from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the iQOO Neo12 may be packing a very unique screen.
Chinese display panel maker Visionox is said to be working on an OLED panel with “2K” resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate, which will be the world’s first mass-produced screen to pair those two specs. It will also feature a brand new luminescent material, which allegedly comes with breakthroughs in screen brightness, lifespan, and display performance.

DCS says this will be used in an iQOO device which is launching by the end of this month, and the Neo12 is the perfect candidate for that. An earlier rumor claimed it would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and iQOO has been evaluating an active cooling fan for it – but whether that will be included in the final product is still up in the air.
