LG’s 4K OLED Wallpaper TV is thinner than a dime

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for 2026 has officially kicked off, and LG is swinging into the trade show with a keenness to impress. The South Korean tech company has unveiled its all-new OLED evo W6, which is also being referred to as the Wallpaper TV. The television set features a slim nine millimeter chassis design, a 4K 165Hz refresh rate display panel, as well as true wireless technology, culminating in a package that LG says is the world’s thinnest true wireless OLED TV available for purchase.

Externally, the OLED evo W6 takes heavy inspiration from LG’s 2017-era Wallpaper Design TV, serving as a sort of spiritual successor of sorts. The display is devoid of any black bezel, instead being mounted on a unique-looking glass canvas. The TV’s built-in wireless receiver allows for a cable-free mounting setup, with a small external box doing the heavy lifting from up to 30 feet (9.14 meters) away. Internal engineering efforts allow for flush-to-the-wall mounting, according to the company, which should culminate in a rather clean living room appearance.

“The Wallpaper TV represents the beautiful convergence of our True Wireless leadership, form factor innovation and 13 years of OLED mastery,” says Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, in a press release. “LG continues to raise the bar for OLED TVs, setting the standard for what’s next.”

For the time being, there’s no word on pricing or availability for the OLED evo W6. LG describes the model as “leading the 2026 lineup” of its hardware portfolio, and so it’s likely to cost more than a pretty penny. In terms of available configurations, LG has confirmed that 77-inch and 83-inch sizing options will be made available for purchase.

While it’s the aesthetics and slim profile that are sucking all the air out of the room, LG’s rebooted Wallpaper TV is no slouch in the technical department, either. The television makes use of Hyper Radiant Color Technology, which is a system designed to improve OLED brightness output and to improve black levels. According to LG, the OLED evo W6’s screen offers 3.9 times higher luminance than “conventional” OLED TVs, with a peek brightness capability of 1,500 nits.

Powering the television is the third-generation Alpha 11 A1 processor, which is set to deliver improvements in CPU, GPU, and NPU performance metrics. Other notable specifications include support for both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium for variable refresh rates, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), 0.1ms pixel response time, 10-bit color depth, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

As ever with LG smart TVs, the Wallpaper TV ships with the webOS operating system for downloading and installing streaming applications and the like, though the unit is also shipping with a new AI-powered Voice ID feature that can determine who is placing commands for more personalized queries. LG Gallery+ is also onboard, serving as a bespoke screensaver mode with over 4,500 visuals that lean into the TV’s homely design language.
