Samsung’s leaked Qi2 wireless powerbank offers a 5,000 mAh capacity for a steep price

The Galaxy S25 series was “Qi2-ready,” so you’d need a magnetic wireless charger to use the handsets with Qi2-compatible accessories such as battery packs and wallets. However, that might not be the case with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which is rumored to be fully Qi2-compatible.

All the smartphones in the S26 series should feature a built-in magnetic profile (circular in shape), underneath the back panel, that allows a convenient and secure connection with third-party Qi2-compatible accessories.

5,000 mAh wireless powerbank for $70.22 is quite expensive

Now, a new report from the German publication WinFuture suggests that Samsung could launch its own “Magnetic Wireless Powerbank EB-U2500” (translated from German) alongside the Galaxy S26 series, as an official Qi2-based accessory.

The publication claims to have shared the first official photos of the EB-U2500 wireless battery pack. It reportedly has a total capacity of 5,000 mAh and provides 15W output via Qi2 (slower than the new Qi2.2 standard or MagSafe charging, both of which offer 25W output).

With the USB-C to USB-C cable provided in the box, the battery pack offers 20W output. It also supports USB Power Delivery (PD) and Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC). So, you can also use the powerbank with smartphones that comply with Qi 2, USB PD, or QC standards.

Regarding the device’s design, it appears to have a warm, off-white or light-gray finish with a textured surface. On the front, there’s the company’s logo, a metallic kickstand, and five LED battery indicator lights.

There’s a power button at the bottom of the right frame, and a circular magnetic ring at the back that snaps onto the back of the Galaxy S26 handset (or the Galaxy S25 with the magnetic charging case).

In Germany, Samsung’s new 5,000 mAh Magnetic Wireless Powerbank could retail for €59.90 (about $70.22 at today’s exchange rate), which is relatively high given its overall capacity.

For reference, the Anker Nano powerbank (5,000 mAh, Qi2-compatible) is available on Amazon for $54.99. The same company also sells the MagGo 10,000 mAh Qi2 powerbank at $79.99.

The higher retail price aside, the report sort of confirms the presence of Qi2 charging technology on the Galaxy S26 series, along with an official accessory for charging their phones on the go.
