Google is working on the Fitbit Edge fitness tracker, which was first leaked by Google itself in some official promotional material back in August. Yesterday, its name was outed along with some renders showing it in more detail.
Today a new leak tells us that the Fitbit Edge will cost €179 in the Eurozone, and £159 in the UK. It will be offered in four colors, which incidentally are the same as the ones in which the Pixel Watch 5 is available: Obsidian & Matte Black, Olive & Satin Pyrite, Canyon & Champagne Gold, and Fog & Polished Silver.

The device will allegedly have a 1.34-inch AMOLED display, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, a heart rate sensor, SpO2 monitoring, ECG sensors, an ambient light sensor, and a step counter. It will track your steps, heart rate, distance, calories burned, sleep, menstrual cycle, SpO2, skin temperature, ECG, and will detect atrial fibrillation, irregular heart rhythms, cardiac load, your fitness level, and VO2 max.
It will have over 40 exercise modes built-in and will support automatic activity detection. It will run Fitbit OS and will offer personalized coaching with Gemini. Google will apparently advertise 7-day battery life, which goes down to 2 days with the Always-on display. Charging should take 2 hours. The Fitbit Edge will be 5ATM and IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. It’s 11.58mm thick, 39.22mm tall, and 25.56mm wide. It weighs 17.7g.
It’s still unclear when the Fitbit Edge will be made official, but it looks like it could be positioned as the successor to the Fitbit Charge 6, at least based on pricing.
