For all their promise, electric cars have always had a big drawback: Charging takes much longer than filling up a gas tank. But the gap has been closing, and this week, Chinese battery giant CATL announced battery technology nearing parity. On Tuesday, the company said its third-generation Shenxing fast-charging battery goes from 10 percent to 98 percent charged in 6 minutes and 27 seconds. If you’re driving an electric car around town, charging is a breeze. Thermal Master P4: 30-second reviewThe Thermal Master P4 is the latest addition to the brand’s P-series of smartphone thermal cameras, and technically, it eclipses the previous P3 design. Thermal Master calls the world’s first of its kind in this class, ignoring all the phones with thermal…
The first thing you’ll notice when turning on a smart TV is flashy banners, rows of content and those annoying auto-playing previews. It’s chaotic and often more about pushing ads on your TV than helping you actually watch something. And the reason this feels normal is that almost every smart TV on the market is like that. Projectivy Launcher is an app that changes that. It strips away all the noise and gives you a clean and customizable home screen that is a joy to interact with. It’s the kind of experience that should be default, but somehow isn’t. Related…
I’ve used many laptops over the years, and they’ve varied greatly in size and versatility. A long time ago, laptops used to be big and bulky, and then, like all technology it seemed like, they slimmed down in size. Your laptops and phones both became thinly sliced pieces of tech, and I thought it was great. I wasn’t a fan of having to stuff a big laptop into my backpack at college, so I welcomed the thin options. Now, it feels like the pendulum is swinging back, and our phones and laptops are getting bigger again. That’s not the case…
Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech Donald Trump’s bid to cash in on the AI data center boom seems to have sprung a leak before it even left the harbor. Trump Advanced Energy and Intelligence Campus” — is apparently flailing wildly as it tries to nail down fundamentals like steady revenue and cooling infrastructure. According to Axios, the Trump-branded firm has yet to even secure a commercial tenant, which is more or less a prerequisite for…

Instagram is testing a new image-sharing app called “Instants,” the company confirmed to TechCrunch on Thursday. The app, which is available in Spain and Italy, lets users share disappearing photos with their friends that can be viewed only once and remain available for 24 hours. With Instants, you capture a photo in a single tap, with no editing allowed. The app doesn’t allow uploads from your camera roll and only lets you capture and share content using the in-app camera. While you can add text to your “instants,” as these unedited photos are called, you can’t modify them any further.…

In about seven months Tesla will Start region by region deployment of unsupervised TESLA FSD for Customer Usage. The owners of FSD will start to get unsupervised FSD. This will be before extreme (aka material) scaling of unsupervised robotaxi. Getting beyond 20,000 to 60,000 unsupervised robotaxi will be a few months after FSD 15 is released, which could be Q4 2026 or Q1 2027. There will be a series of substantially improved FSD models. The reasoning enhancements are less for the improved safety although that will matter. It will be for the reasoning so that FSD does not get confused…
