Written by Catherine O’Connell-Cooper, APXS Strategic Planner and Payload Uplink/Downlink Lead, University of New Brunswick, Canada Earth planning day: Friday, June 5th, 2026 In a very broad sense, Curiosity has two modes of doing science – one centred around a defined science campaign (such as the recent boxwork campaign) and the other as we move between campaigns. During a science campaign, with a very defined start and end location, every image and every workspace is carefully choregraphed to make sure we hit all of our science goals for the campaign. This is a lot of pressure! But in between campaigns,…
Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test. HyperX Origins 2 1800: One-minute reviewThe HyperX Origins 2 1800 is a full-size gaming keyboard with mechanical switches and plenty of hardware customizations available. It adopts a fairly typical gaming keyboard aesthetic, although the translucent body does at least offer something a little different. This also allows the RGB lighting to shine through a little more than usual. And shine it does — this is probably the brightest RGB I’ve…
Almost every budget PC or laptop that comes with a Windows installation comes with Windows 11 Home edition. It works well for personal and normal usage. Windows 11 Pro is good for business users and organizations that need more security features, as well as management capabilities. But getting Windows 11 Pro out of the box costs more money. Instead, we can upgrade Windows 11 Home to Pro easily by getting a Pro license. However, some users report being unable to upgrade to the Pro edition. In this guide, we show you what to do when you can’t upgrade Windows 11…
It seems like a lot of hopes were pinned on the recently released reMarkable Paper Pure. Not only has reMarkable itself gone through layoffs and leadership changes, but until the Pure, the company appeared to have given up on offering cheaper E Ink tablets to focus on premium options like the excellent reMarkable Paper Pro and Paper Pro Move. The Paper Pure changed things, not only by being cheaper than those other tablets at $399, but also by being lighter, faster, and shipping with better battery life than the company’s previous entry-level option, the reMarkable 2. With the launch of…
Data security firm Cyera today announced raising $600 million in a fresh funding round that brings the company’s valuation to $12 billion. The fresh investment comes less than half a year after the company’s $400 million Series F funding round and brings the total raised to more than $2.3 billion. Led by Evolution Equity Partners, the funding round also saw participation from Accel, AT&T Ventures, Blackstone, Coatue, Spark Capital, and others. Cyera’s valuation has quadrupled since late 2024, when it raised $300 million in Series D funding at a $3 billion valuation. It also received $540 million in Series E…
For decades, a handful of molecular switches has haunted the nightmares of cancer researchers. The switches trigger runaway tumor growth and cause the disease to spread across the body in multiple cancers. In theory, this makes them perfect treatment targets. Blocking even one could lead to drugs that are effective against a variety of cancers. But despite considerable efforts, these switches—all of which are proteins—have escaped our most advanced cancer treatments, earning them the term “undruggable.” This is largely due to a shared trait: They all have smooth surfaces, making it difficult for drugs to interact with them. But maybe not for…
It’s been, well, 3.5 years since the last World Cup, but the biggest football tournament returns, spanning three countries as the action takes places across North America from Mexico to the United States and Canada. The tournament begins in Mexico City on the 11th June, and over the course of five weeks (37 days to be exact), 48 teams will take part in 104 matches, making this the biggest World Cup yet. And unlike the Champions League Final, the World Cup will be free-to-air, and if you live in the UK, there are two ways that you can the action…
The standardization of USB-C across smartphones and other consumer electronics is probably the best thing about modern technology, but this regulation still has its limitations. Not all USB-C chargers are the same, and certain manufacturers lock charging protocols to their own devices, which often require specific chargers and cables. USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) is one such protocol, widely used across the industry, but there’s an extension of USB-PD called PPS (Programmable Power Supply) — a feature many people, including me, aren’t familiar with. If your phone supports PPS, you may already be undercharging it without realizing, because cheap chargers aren’t…
Varonis’ “Pinchy” OpenClaw agent fell for identity‑based phishing despite strict settingsModels blocked malicious links/OAuth apps but granted sensitive access when requests felt urgentResearchers say AI agents need enforced identity verification before actingSecurity researchers tested an OpenClaw email agent to see if it’s naive enough to fall for the same phishing scams regular employees fall for and it succeeded. Or failed, depending on how you look at it.Cybersecurity researchers Varonis created an OpenClaw agent dubbed Pinchy, and connected it to a Gmail inbox, browser tools, and Google Workspace APIs. They populated the account with fake internal company data, AWS credentials, database…
Hackers no longer force open the side-window when infostealers can give them a key to the front door. Infostealers have become the primary source of stolen credentials for attackers. Using these credentials is now a favored route for bad actors to access a target effectively as an invited guest. It is quicker, easier, less visible and more effective than forcing an entry. More than 11.1 million devices were infected with infostealers in 2025, reports Flashpoint. More than 3.3 billion credentials, browser artifacts, session information and other forms of identity are now circulating in illicit marketplaces. These don’t simply provide entry…
