Yesterday the Poco C95 Pro leaked for the first time. Its specs and some renders were outed on that occasion, and today we already have two short videos showing the phone and its box, and we also have a price leak this time around. So according to this, the model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will cost $220, while the one with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will go for $260. The box is the traditional Poco yellow as you might have expected, while the phones are being shown in three…
They pulled off one of the largest cryptocurrency thefts in U.S. history, duping a stranger out of bitcoin worth over $240 million. They tried to hide their digital fingerprints, carrying out a sophisticated scheme to launder the proceeds. And then the party started. The scammers — a network of young men in their late teens or early 20s — celebrated the August 2024 heist by embarking on a wild spending spree. They purchased fleets of sports cars, flew on private jets, hired security guards and rented mansions in Miami and the Hamptons. An alleged ringleader, 22-year-old Malone Lam, spent over…
Explanation: Why are Saturn’s poles geometric? Saturn’s North Pole has been known to be surrounded by a hexagonal (6 sides) cloud since discovery in 1987 in data taken by NASA’s Voyager spacecrafts, which quickly flew past the ringed world in the early 1980s. Now, recent observations of Saturn by the Hubble Space Telescope reveal a slightly different geometric cloud pattern around the South Pole: a decagon (10 sides). The geometric boundaries are possibly caused by waves when the fast-moving gas away from the poles interacts with slower-moving gas closer to the poles. In the featured image composite by the Hubble taken last year, the South Pole of Saturn is marked by an X and surrounded by bands of circulating…

Windows Media Player has one job, and it barely does it. It doesn’t impress with its features, and is also not great at handling every file format you throw at it either. VLC is the de-facto alternative for most folks, but I wanted something that actually looked modern. So after trying half a dozen media players, I finally settled on Screenbox. It’s free, open-source, and offers just about every useful feature I want from a media player. Related How to Watch Plex in VLC (and Why It’s Worth Doing) As if I really needed another reason to love VLC. There’s…
Joe Maring / Android AuthorityAdd Android Authority on Google: TL;DR Pixel users are seeing Now Playing notifications return to the notification shade. The restored alerts include shortcuts to favorite songs and to view listening history. Availability remains limited, suggesting Google is rolling out the feature gradually. Pixel’s Now Playing has long been the quiet friend that saves you from asking, “What song is this?” It recognizes music around you and places the answer on the lock screen, often before you reach for Shazam. Google made that simple trick less convenient earlier this year, but new Reddit reports suggest Now Playing…
Threat actors are exploiting a zero-day vulnerability in Adobe Commerce and Magento e-commerce platforms to backdoor online stores, cybersecurity firm Sansec reports. Dubbed StyleSmuggler, the security defect enables attackers to inject PHP code into Magento’s template system and evade detection by using the ‘styles’ properties. According to Sansec, the attack works in two stages: first, the PHP code is injected by generating a failure report, and then Magento executes the code via a failed payment email. The remote code execution (RCE) flaw works on Magento versions 2.4.7, 2.4.8 and 2.4.9, and has been exploited against deployments running the July and…

Although I have my misgivings about Roku devices, mostly because an impending Fox takeover, I have to give it to the company — it understands its main selling point, which is simplicity. Roku OS is intuitive, and while there are plenty of ads in it these days, they mostly stay out of the way. I prefer Google TV mostly because of its integration with Gemini and Google Home, which are more useful than you might think. This simplicity makes it hard to break a Roku TV, at least without accidentally smashing it with a game controller. But you may be…
