Earlier this month, Lenovo started teasing a new Legion gaming tablet with 5G support, revealing that its full announcement will take place in August.

Today, the brand has showcased the device in the video you can see below. The tablet now seems to be called Legion Y700 Ultimate, but this is also machine translated from Chinese so accuracy is not guaranteed.

The tablet comes with a physical SIM slot and an eSIM, supporting dual-SIM dual-standby between the two of them. The design has also changed slightly compared to the Y700 (Gen 5) tablet, which arrived in March without 5G connectivity. The Y700 Ultimate’s antenna design ensures there are no drops in connectivity no matter how you hold it.

Unfortunately, Lenovo hasn’t talked about any other specs yet, so we don’t know if the new model will still be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset like the Y700 (Gen 5). The size does seem similar, and the video mentions that it’s a very portable device. For reference, note that the Y700 (Gen 5) has an 8.8″ display with 1904×3040 resolution. Lenovo promised to reveal more details about the upcoming tablet in the near future, so stay tuned.
