Anthropic says its Claude Mythos model discovered thousands of severe vulnerabilities across more than 1,000 open source software (OSS) projects. According to the AI giant, Mythos Preview has identified more than 23,000 potential vulnerabilities. Of these, 1,900 have been reviewed by external security firms, and 1,726 have been confirmed, including over 1,000 rated ‘high’ or ‘critical’ severity. The findings are still being reviewed, and Anthropic estimates that nearly 3,900 critical and high-severity vulnerabilities will be confirmed based only on current findings. As the scans are ongoing, the company believes the number of severe vulnerabilities may reach 6,200. Anthropic says more…
Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech Rest easy, paranoid gamers. Riot Games says its Vanguard anti-cheat tool won’t “brick” the computers of hackers ruining everyone’s fun in its multiplayer games. And that’s too bad, since cheaters deserve to suffer at least twice as much as the beleaguered gamers that willingly subject themselves to grinding MMR in one of the company’s titles already do. The brouhaha stems from a Vanguard update the “Valorant” and “League of Legends” maker released last week that targets notoriously hard to detect direct memory access…
Asus today announced the new VM441QA AiO in India. This is an all-in-one PC and the first in the industry to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X chipset. There’s 16GB of LPDDR5X memory with a choice of 512GB or 1TB SSD…
TL;DR Ferrari has unveiled the Luce, its first-ever EV, featuring a futuristic OLED dashboard designed by Samsung Display. The car’s layered dashboard uses Samsung’s HIAA display technology, originally developed for Galaxy phone punch-hole cameras, to combine OLED screens with real mechanical gauges. Luce’s overall design was done by former Apple design chief Jony Ive, the man who helped shape the iPhone hardware for years. At a time when most modern cars are replacing physical controls with giant flat touchscreens, Ferrari is trying something very different with its new Luce supercar, its first-ever EV. And surprisingly, the tech behind it originates…

According to the healthcare organization’s incident notice, the data breach occurred on or about July 25, 2025, when hackers accessed its internal systems. Freda Duan estimates XAI Colossus 1 has ~$6B annual rent. Colossus 2 is leasing roughly one-third of its total compute capacity to $Anthropic. I am extending the analysis to renting out one third to one half of the new construction. This does not included distributed compute from Tesla cars, Tesla bots, new servers with Tesla Powerwalls and Tesla Superchargers and then the Space based AI. That covers:150,000 H100s50,000 H200s30,000 GB200s Separately, $Anthropic’s total payment to $SpaceX is $15B per year, based on the SpaceX S-1 “$1.25B per month through May 2029, with capacity ramping in May and June 2026 at…

One of many reasons for escaping Windows (as I assume is for a majority of us as well) was to get rid of unnecessary pre-installed packages. This is especially true for laptops, which come with a lot of junk. Even then, Windows just seems to never stop getting in your way. Be it forced updates, interrupting adverts or a general push to annoy the user in the most trivial way possible, there’s a lot that Microsoft could learn from the open-source community. Using KDE as my desktop environment had so far been a breeze on CachyOS, or so I thought.…
I use two Roku devices every day: a Roku Ultra connected to my living room TV and a Roku Streaming Stick Plus on the TV in my bedroom. I mostly stream in my living room, so I use the Roku Ultra there for its faster performance and extra features, including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, both of which my 4K LG TV supports. My bedroom TV is older, so the cheaper Roku Streaming Stick Plus works perfectly there for late-night binging or for throwing on YouTube videos without needing any fancy extra features. In the past, I mainly relied on…
The Oncology Institute says a previously disclosed cybersecurity incident has been confirmed to impact patient information. The Oncology Institute (TOI) is an oncology provider founded in 2007 that delivers specialized cancer care through a network of over 100 clinics across five states. The healthcare organization told the SEC in November 2025 that it had learned of a cybersecurity incident affecting a third-party software services provider. At the time, the vendor’s investigation was ongoing and it could not say whether patient information had been compromised. “However, on May 20, 2026, Kroll, who is the third-party administrator for the Vendor, notified [TOI]…
